The National Association of Software and Services Companies or NASSCOM presented a preview of the two-day NASSCOM Product Conclave 2011 was at the Vivanta Taj. The theme of the summit provides a perspective of the various internal and external forces that dynamically impact product businesses. The event will provide an entrepreneurs a fourth to discuss these forces and fins the solutions that will help them accelerate the software product business growth. To attend this event, more than 1,000 delegates are expected. The NASSCOM also hosted product LaunchPAD as a precursor to the 8th of the annual Production Conclave wherein 10 selected products startups unveiled new products or a version of their products.
The LaunchPAD is being institutionalized at the Conclave to allow the software product companies an opportunity to directly interact with the media and launch their products. The NASSCOM commitment towards the recognition of innovative products driving the Indian software development revolution through the creation of IP trademarks and frameworks driving the national competitiveness of the country. The last one year has seen heightened activity in the Indian software product ecosystem. The new ventures, healthy market capitalization and a movie to the cater to the domestic market are propelling rapid evolution of the next wave of the growth for the software products. The NASSCOM Product Conclave is their endeavor to bring together the software product ecosystem to understand the ever evolving lanscape, identify the next set of the challenges and the collectively work towards overcoming then to continue the growth momentum of the sector.
The Indian software product business has recorded an impressive revenue growth of 22 percent over the last five years. An even more interesting trend is the vibrant growth of the start-up software product companies in the country. The NASSCOM data indicates that over 1100 software product start-ups have emerged. Their focus through the NASSCOM Product Forum has been to evangelize the product opportunity for the country, the showcase new innovations and build collaboration
The Indian Information Technology service companies have established themselves firmly on the global stage. The software products story is different. Many global companies including SAP, Microsoft and Oracle, leverage India for product development either through their subsidiaries or by outsourcing to Indian technology service providers.
